Short Biography

Alex holds a PhD student in Applied Microbiology from the University of Embu (UoEm), MSc. degree in Genetics from the University of Nairobi and BSc (Biotechnology) degree from Kenyatta University, Kenya. He works in the Department of Biological Sciences as a Lecturer, where he teaches and guides undergraduate students in their science projects. Besides, he assists in grant proposal development and conducts project research. With a background on biotechnology, Alex hopes to contribute towards the introduction of bio-prospecting technologies and developing nature sensitive technologies for renewable energy, agriculture and natural products development.
